Passage
...Sixty per cent of degraded mangrove sites can be successfully re-established if planters match the seedling species to the local salinity and replant within two years of the original loss, before the exposed soil washes away.
The seedling itself is called a propagule, while a nursery-raised plant ready for transfer is known as a slip. There are three common methods of restoring a site: by sowing propagules directly into the mud, by transplanting nursery-grown slips, or by simply restoring tidal flow so the forest seeds itself. Reliable seed stock comes from several sources, including dwarf red mangroves, black mangroves, and a handful of hardy hybrids.
Question
Restoring tidal flow does little to bring back a mangrove forest.
Explanation
Scan paragraph 3 for “tidal flow” and check how the passage frames it. It appears in the list of restoration methods: restoring tidal flow so the forest seeds itself is one of three common methods. Listing it among the three common methods of restoring a site presents it as something that does bring a forest back. “Does little” is the opposite of that, so the statement is False.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?
Joining the school partnership programme does not cost the school anything. We just need the teacher responsible for medical applications to get in touch and tell us the school is interested.
I'm a student. Can I set this up for my school?
Unfortunately we need a member of staff to confirm the partnership. You can always ask the teacher responsible for medical applications, send them this page and ask them to reach out to us. You can also email us yourself with the member of staff to contact, and we can try reaching out ourselves.
Can I use the platform if my school isn't a partner?
Yes. The platform is open to everyone, and there is a free tier for the UCAT questions, lessons and MMI question bank. A partnership just means students at that school pay less for premium.
Why are you running a school partnership programme?
For us it is mainly about reach. Having a direct line to schools means more students find out about the platform early, and we get to hear from teachers about what their applicants actually need.
Interested? It takes one email.
Tell us your school and who to speak to, and we will take it from there.
