On the day
One online panel interview on Zoom for everyone, home and international. You book your own slot, show photo ID on camera and keep your camera on throughout; interviews usually run in February and March.
Not an MMI: one 20-minute conversation with two selectors from the dental school, with no stations, role play or dexterity task.
Selectors have your personal statement and the school says questions are often based on it, so be ready to reflect on everything you wrote.
Expect to be asked your opinion on a topical issue in dentistry; no technical knowledge is needed, but you must form and explain a view.
Attending counts as declaring yourself fit; extenuating circumstances are not considered afterwards.
Each selector grades you independently across six domains, scores are added and the top-ranked get places, with UCAT breaking ties. Selectors do not see your grades or UCAT. Offers only go out once every interview is finished, so expect to wait until around the end of April.
