On the day
Home applicants sit an in-person MMI at the dental school; international applicants get a 15 to 20 minute online panel instead. Bring original certificates for every completed qualification on your UCAS form: failing to produce them counts against you.
Eleven stations of 7 minutes, two of them rest stations with dental students. The rest stations are not formally assessed, but the students record a global impression score, so stay switched on.
The 2 minutes of reading sit inside each 7 minute station: a short paragraph, question or image, then the questions, with no notes and no changeover time between stations.
Station themes are withheld. One station has explored the personal statement in recent years; otherwise interviewers see only a list of names.
No manual dexterity test and no written or practical component: every station is a conversation.
No notes allowed.
None scheduled; two rest stations in the circuit instead.
A fixed number of offers is filled in interview rank order, and everyone on the final score is included, so there is no tie-break. Home and international quotas are separate (about 72 places, up to 4 international). Decisions by the end of March; feedback requests in writing by the end of May. Anyone unsuccessful after interview cannot reapply to A200.
