On the day
UK applicants interview in person at the Dental School in December or January; international applicants can interview remotely on Blackboard Collaborate. 2026 entry UK applicants who asked for online were told it had to be in person.
Seven stations in about an hour, each run and scored by a member of staff who may have a student helping: questions, situations and dilemmas plus one role play, with no dental knowledge needed.
The in-person circuit dates from 2025 entry; 2024 entry was a 40 minute online panel, which some prep pages still describe. The school never calls it an MMI, and 2026 interviewees said it was not what they expected.
Invitations give about two weeks' notice and slots go first come first served, so watch your email from late November.
How offers are decided after interview is not published; the school says only that decisions come by the end of March, and December interviewees waited three months. Interview selection uses academic achievement and UCAT with no minimum cut-off (a 2021 FOI put the split at 60 percent academic, 40 percent UCAT); the personal statement is discussed at stations but not formally scored.
