- You must be 18 by 1 October of your entry year - younger applicants can apply for deferred entry.2
Resits & reapplying
- One resit per A-Level and per GCSE (more needs mitigating circumstances); A-Levels are expected in a single sitting. Declare every resit - the better grade counts.1
- You must have been in education within the last 5 years.3
- One reapplication is considered - more needs exceptional circumstances.2
- Transfers aren't considered.3

- No cutoff is published. In 2025 the lowest UCAT shortlisted among UK applicants was 1880 (converted to the 2700 scale).4
- Your personal statement must be about dentistry - motivation for medicine or nursing means rejection. Apply to one School of Dentistry course only.1
- Mitigating circumstances must be in your personal statement and academic reference when you apply - they can't be added later.1
