Entry requirements

A-Levels

  • You must be taking Chemistry and Biology (Human Biology counts); the third can be any subject.1
  • General Studies (or equivalent) doesn't count towards the three A-Levels.1

GCSE

  • You need grade 7/A in English, Maths and Science (Chemistry and Biology, or dual science).2
  • You need six GCSEs at grade 7/A in total.2
  • IELTS 7.0 (minimum 6.5 in each component), or an equivalent English qualification, is accepted instead of GCSE English Language 7/A.2

UCAT

  • Your UCAT cognitive total must be average or above.1
  • You need SJT Band 1 or 2 - Bands 3 and 4 are rejected.1

Resits & reapplying

  • Resits are accepted (over more than two years too), but you're expected to have at least B in each subject first time - otherwise apply once you hold AAA.1
  • No transfers - exceptional cases restart from Year 1.1

  • Conditional offer: AAA including Chemistry and Biology (practicals passed). A dentistry or health-related EPQ at B drops it to AAB with AA in Chemistry and Biology - same sitting, Sheffield as firm choice.2
