Access Sheffield resitters should have first-sitting grades within one grade per A-Level of the reduced offer - below that, apply once you hold the grades (Access to Dentistry participants: talk to the School first).
Interview & decision
- In-person selection days, 22-26 February 2027 (invitations from late January): a 15-minute semi-structured interview with two academics and a dental student - career exploration, personal qualities, communication, commitment to Sheffield - plus a group task on respect and teamwork.1
- All interviewed applicants are selected on interview performance alone, results by end of March. Near-misses join a reserve list ranked by interview then UCAT.1
- Deferred entry is welcomed.1
- Behaviour against the GDC standards or NHS Constitution at any point means rejection.1
Conditional offer
- Conditional offer: AAA including Chemistry and Biology (practicals passed). A dentistry or health-related EPQ at B drops it to AAB with AA in Chemistry and Biology - same sitting, Sheffield as firm choice.2
