- Your SJT band isn't used at any stage.2

- You must be 18 by 1 October of your entry year.1
Resits & reapplying
- Resits aren't considered except with extenuating circumstances.1
- Your most recent relevant qualification must be no more than 4 years old.1
- If rejected after interview at Birmingham, you're reconsidered only after significant, sustained activity since that application.1
- If you've studied dentistry previously, in any country, you aren't considered - whether or not you completed the degree.1
- Transfers aren't accepted - you can't apply while studying dentistry or any other degree.1

- Pathways to Birmingham applicants without a guaranteed interview get the UCAT cut-off reduced by 10%.
- If you apply to both Dentistry and another healthcare programme (such as Medicine), your application won't be considered.3
- The UCAS reference isn't scored.
- Recognised elite athletes can have the UCAT interview threshold reduced by up to 10% - contact the Sport Recruitment Manager before 30 September.1

- Expected: 3+ days shadowing in an NHS dental practice plus people-focused volunteering. Not getting a placement won't on its own count against you.3
