A-Levels
- You must be taking Chemistry or Biology, plus a second science (Chemistry, Biology, Physics or Maths) and any third subject. You must meet, or be predicted to meet, AAA.1
- General Studies and Critical Thinking aren't accepted as the third A-Level.1
- The offer can come in one grade lower - AAA-AAB, with grade A in both sciences and A or B in the third subject.2

- You must be 18 or over by 31 October of your entry year.1
Resits & reapplying
- Resits are considered for A-Levels and equivalent qualifications.2
- Your qualification must be awarded within 5 years of application (your degree, or A-Levels if you have no degree). Older qualifications may still count if you've since worked in a relevant field.1
- You're normally excluded if you've previously enrolled on any medicine course - UK or abroad, completed or not.3
- Transfers from an uncompleted undergraduate science or medicine programme aren't normally accepted.3
Selection & shortlisting
- Once you pass the academic gate, your UCAT total is the entire ranking - the highest scorers are invited first until the cycle's target is met.1
- Predicted A-Levels are part of the initial eligibility screen alongside widening-access checks - Brunel doesn't publish the details; the ranking itself is by UCAT.
- If you apply without a current UCAT or GAMSAT score, you may still be invited if places remain - you're ranked on your predicted or achieved grades instead.3
- The personal statement isn't scored.
- The threshold depends on each year's applicants - our estimate is that around 2000 gives a realistic chance of an interview.1
- +5% UCAT uplift for widening-participation applicants, applied before ranking for interview.3

Interview & decision
- Your interview is a virtual MMI - six online stations, each 7 minutes (2 reading + 5 on the task), run asynchronously between December and July.4
- After interview, offers are decided on vMMI performance alone - ranked by total score, with no minimum number of stations to pass. Your UCAT doesn't carry into the offer decision.1
- Deferred entry isn't normally considered, at application or post-offer.3
