Entry requirements

GCSE

Minimum grade C in GCSE English (or Welsh) and grade C in GCSE Mathematics. [1]

Degree

Graduate entry only - Swansea run the 4-year A101 MBBCh with no school-leaver A100 route. [1]

Achieved or predicted 2:1 honours in any subject; OR Merit in an integrated master's; OR 2:2 honours plus a pass in a postgraduate Masters/PhD. [1]

Admissions test

Choose one of GAMSAT or UCAT (Home), or GAMSAT, UCAT or MCAT (International). [1]

UCAT minimum 1900. SJT bands are not considered. [2]

GAMSAT minimum 50 overall and 50 in Paper 3 - last four sittings before the October UCAS deadline accepted. [1]

MCAT minimum 500 (International only) - sittings within 24 months of the closing date accepted. [1]

Resits

GCSE resits accepted with no cap on number of attempts and no penalty on resit grades.

Previous medicine study

Transfers from another medicine programme are not accepted. Previous exit from a medical degree due to academic failure, fitness to practise or professionalism issues bars application. [1]
