On the day
Asynchronous recorded vMMI on the Shortlister platform, completed at a time of your choosing within five days of the invitation, with no live interviewer; the six stations can be done in any order. The interviews page says around 40 minutes in total, the FAQ page around 45.
You record your answers alone on the Shortlister platform; each station is a written scenario with two minutes to read and five minutes to respond, you can do the six stations in any order and pause as long as you like between them, but everything must be submitted within five days of the invite.
Five stations are hypothetical scenarios testing one attribute each (resilience, ethics, teamwork, perspective-taking, commitment to healthcare) and one is data interpretation; communication is assessed throughout and no academic knowledge is tested.
Interviews run in several rounds between December and July and applicants are ranked after each round, so an early application can mean an early offer.
Assessors can add a red flag for concerning or unprofessional behaviour, which the Admissions Committee reviews even if your total score is above the cut.
You can make notes while reading.
Self-paced: you can pause between stations for as long as you like within the five-day window.
Applicants are ranked after each interview round and offers go to the top-ranked candidates; the cut score is agreed by the Admissions Committee per cohort, and strong candidates below the offer line join an Offer Waiting List. The 2024/25 policy adds that equal scores are split on UCAT or GAMSAT.
