On the day
On campus for both UK and international applicants; you can only be interviewed in the format named in your invitation. Home and overseas applicants sit the same interview but are ranked in separate pools.
Your UCAT SJT score is counted as a seventh component of the interview total (nothing SJT-like is sat on the day), and that interview total is then weighted equally with your overall UCAT score for offers.
You read each station's instructions on paper outside the door for 90 seconds with nothing to write on, then walk in; the same six-station circuit runs for everyone, with no breaks or rest stations.
You must submit two examples of relevant work experience that informed your decision to study medicine, and interviewers otherwise know nothing about you except your name.
No group or presentation stations; UEA does not publish its station list, but its own reps point to ethics, role play with an actor, graph or data interpretation, NHS knowledge and reflection on your motivation and experience.
No notes allowed.
Interviewers see only your name, not your application.
No fixed interview cut-off: interviewed applicants are ranked on interview score (which includes the UCAT SJT band, counted as a seventh scored component alongside the six live stations) and overall UCAT score, weighted equally, and the top-ranked applicants get offers.
