On the day
Home applicants attend an in-person MMI (19 January to 6 February 2026); international applicants get an online panel interview instead (8, 9, 12 and 13 January 2026), reported to cover the same questions.
Your UCAT SJT band is converted to a score out of 5 and added as a ninth component, so the total is out of 45 not 40.
Interviewers have not read your personal statement; no notes, paper or crib sheets; your conduct is assessed from the moment you arrive, and latecomers are not admitted.
The 8 minutes per station includes moving on and about 30 seconds reading a short prompt outside that names the topic, not the questions; expect three or four questions per station, so interviewers may cut you off.
The information processing station has been a game of 20 Questions, marked on the logic of your questioning rather than on getting the answer.
No notes allowed.
Ranked on MMI plus SJT total out of 45; applicants scoring 3 or better in every section and the SJT are prioritised in the ranking.
