On the day

Online on Zoom. The school's FAQ commits to online interviews for the current cycle; 2025 entry applicants found the Zoom link inside an interview guide attached to their booked slot in the applicant portal.

Five stations but only four interviewers, so expect to see one assessor twice. Stations are not equal length: 2025 entry applicants describe four 10-minute stations of two 5-minute questions each plus one 5-minute single-question station, 9 questions in all.

Applicants report each question is marked out of 15 (135 in total), with any reading time counted inside the 5 minutes rather than as separate prep.

Alongside the numerical score there is a yes/no red flag for anything you say or do that is unsuitable for the programme; both are referred to when outcomes are decided.

Not a test of medical or scientific knowledge; stations map to the eight listed NHS-aligned qualities. Personal statements and work experience are not used to shortlist.

How offers are made
100%interview performance alone

Candidates are ranked on interview score and the top performers get offers; both the numerical score and the red flag section are referred to when outcomes are decided. Unsuccessful applicants can get their overall interview score.
