Bolton declined to tell us which stations it runs.

On the day

For 2026 and 2027 entry the course is open to international applicants only and interviews are held online. MMI days are Wednesdays and run in several rounds through the cycle.

The whole circuit runs online and is conducted in English; the school describes it as "a series of mini-interviews and tests" and as eight clinical and scenario-based stations.

The 2025 entry policy says stations assess attributes including communication, problem solving, personal qualities and values, motivation, empathy, organisational ability, numeracy and teamworking, but does not publish a station-by-station list.

Every station gets a numerical score with equal weighting, plus a global fail, borderline or pass rating that sets the pass mark.

Unsuccessful interviewees can ask for feedback but individual station scores are never released.

How offers are made
100%interview performance alone

Offers are based on your interview score and no offers are made without an interview. Offers are made in batches through the cycle and some candidates are held on a waiting list until all interviews are complete, though the Pro Vice Chancellor Medicine can make offers from the waiting list early.
