On the day

All interviews hosted remotely on Zoom: you wait in a waiting room, get a candidate briefing and an ID check, then see two panels of three assessors in turn. The formal interview is about 30 minutes; the FOI puts the whole process at about 30 to 45 minutes.

Not a rotating MMI. Six 5-minute question stations in one Zoom session, run as two back-to-back panels of three assessors, each panel marking three stations.

Each station is an opening question plus follow-ups, all spoken. No reading, writing, prep time or breaks, and the timer cuts you off, so keep opening answers short enough to leave room for follow-ups.

You are told to read the GMC's "Achieving Good Medical Practice" beforehand because it feeds the questions and scenarios; applicants say it comes up.

Handwritten notes to help your answers are allowed, but no pre-prepared notes, books, devices or AI. Photo ID is mandatory, and you must not discuss the questions afterwards.

You can make notes and keep them in the station.

How offers are made
100%interview performance alone

Interview performance is scored and ranked; strongest overall performance gets offers, and UCAT breaks ties between identical interview scores. Expect to be placed on hold: the school says it is unlikely to make offers until all interviews are completed. Home and overseas applicants are ranked separately.
