On the day
Home applicants interview on the University of Kent Canterbury campus. Overseas fee status applicants get a different, remote MMI type (3 short stations and a group station, run on Zoom in 2024 entry), and an offer may be void if fee status changes after the MMI.
Six 7-minute stations then a 40 to 45-minute group station of about 7 candidates in which you are scored individually. KMMS does not commit to the same stations for 2026 but expects to keep the timings.
Stations test skills more than knowledge: the policy's example circuit is a question station, a problem, a video SJT, a roleplay with an actor, a manual-skills task, an ethics scenario and the group activity.
You must sign a non-disclosure agreement, and KMMS warns that commercial or school MMI prep courses have been "positively disadvantageous" for its process.
Parents or friends can come to campus but cannot sit with you in the MMI or the waiting room; no dress code.
A rest station within the short-station circuit.
Every station is marked independently against agreed criteria and applicants are scored but not ranked. Those above an offer threshold agreed by the Recruitment and Admissions Board each cycle get an offer, borderline scores go to a waiting list, and a station assessor's particular recommendation can bring a candidate with excellent scores in one field back for discussion. Offers go out in batches from December or January.
