On the day

In person at the Medical School for Home applicants. International applicants interview online via Zoom with at least two MMI stations (one role play) plus a separate online calculation assessment on another date.

Six or seven stations of 8 minutes each, split as 2 minutes reading outside the station then 6 minutes inside; the mix of interview, role play and calculation stations changes day by day and you may start anywhere on the circuit.

During the 2 minutes of reading you are told the topic and, where relevant, the main questions you will be asked, so you can plan your answer before you go in (no writing though).

Your UCAT SJT band is scored as if it were an extra station, equal in weight to each MMI station.

A minimum standard is likely set for every non-calculation station; missing it on even one station can cost the offer regardless of your total.

Offers are based on interview performance plus a score from the UCAT SJT band (Band 1 = station maximum, Band 2 = two thirds, Band 3 = one third, Band 4 = 0), each station and the SJT weighted equally; academics are not re-reviewed except to separate tied scores.
